Anne van Gessel is a certified Life Coach who supports her clients in recognizing their highest expression of themselves, breaking negative patterns, defying stagnation and sharing in a universal self-awareness. Her work empowers people to live an authentic life with a sense of purpose, wellness and joy.
We asked Anne to tell the Tribute community a bit more about her, and why she left a fast-paced consulting career to become a Life Coach.
How old are you?
34 years young
Where were you raised?
What you want to be known for?
I want to be known for my authentic approach to life. My sincerity, quirkiness, openness and willingness to welcome new experiences. Thoughtfulness, physical, spiritual, and emotional strength. Personal magic and sense of wonder and finally, my boldness.
What made you decide to start your venture?
Tell us about YOUR WHY. I believe that we are all capable of being our most authentic selves and can choose to act from a place of love as opposed to fear. Love affords us the ability to treat one another with respect and compassion. The world CAN be a happier place, full of successes and triumphs. Ultimately, I want to create an equitable world where individual differences are respected instead of suppressed. Humanity is magical in all its uniqueness, so let’s recognize and celebrate one another!
Did you leave a cozy Corporate job? Or start a side hustle?
I did both – I started training to be a Life Coach in Sept of last year, and left my Corporate job in July of this year.
What inspires you to keep going when the going gets tough?
Reminding myself that I’ve achieved everything I’ve wanted to achieve so far in life. Things will continue to come together for me, despite this current rough state. Knowing that I have a supportive community – family and close friends.
And finally, we asked Anne to answer these three questions.
My favorite self-care routine is...
Listening to my body, asking “What would serve me at this moment?”
The last book I read was…
“There is Nothing Wrong with You” By Cheri Huber (Link)
My best advice to fellow female founder is…
When in doubt or unsure of what to do next, get internally quiet and centered; as your intuition will guide you. Sometimes it takes a while for the answers to appear. “Being absolutely true to yourself is freedom."
